4.4 Ethernet interface
4.4.1 Connections via the Ethernet interface
Various methods can be used to connect LAUDA constant temperature
equipment to a control station/PC. The control station can be used to
monitor and control the constant temperature equipment.

Fig. 14 illustrates direct communication between the LAUDA constant tem-
perature equipment and the control station/PC via an Internet cable.
Advantage of this connection:
A network is not required.

Fig. 15 illustrates how the constant temperature equipment is connected to a
control station/PC via a LAN network.
Advantages of this connection:
The constant temperature equipment can be controlled by any control
station/PC.
It cannot be controlled simultaneously by two control stations/PCs.
