Examine brake pad
for
excessive wear.
SPECIFICATION
Replace brake and switch assembly if pad
is
less than
1/32
inch
thick.
Check wire terminals
for
damage. Check brake
spring
for
distortion
or
damage.
INSTALLATION

Assemble brake and switch assembly to
brake actuator lever. Secure with shoulder bolt
and lock nut.
Torque shoulder
bolt
to
75
in.-lbs.

Attach wire
(s)
to terminals on brake and
switch assembly
as
shown.
NOTE:
Ignition (yellow) wire on lower or
single terminal Electric Start Models: Connect
blue wire to upper terminal.
NOTE:
The service replacement brake and
switch assembly may have
two
terminals. On
zone start models the upper contact is not used.
