NO SPARK

FOR ALL TESTS
Have Lawn-Boy Test Plug, Part
No. 426814 installed
Mower sitting on level surface
Grass catcher installed and fully seated at chute interlock switch
Oil level above Add Line of reservoir
Throttle control in Run position
Check for spark

SPARK NO SPARK
System ok Disconnect yellow wires at governor
bracket terminal
NOTE: Wires must not be grounded
during test.
Check for spark
SPARK NO SPARK
Check throttle linkage movement when
Reconnect yellow wires at governor
Adjust/Replace throttle cable
Disconnect oil level switch
Repair/Replace governor bracket and
Check for spark
throttle is moved bracket lower terminal
switch assembly

Replace oil level switch
NO SPARK
Reconnect oil level switch
Check/Clean ground terminal at CD
Ignition Module
or governor bracket
screw
Check high tension lead
Check
for spark

-System ok
NO SPARK
Disconnect yellow wires at CD
Ignition Module
Check
for spark

SPARK NO SPARK
Inspect wiring harness for pinched, shorted Replace CD Ignition Module
or grounded wires Repair/Replace
