to run when grass catcher is removed with blade control bail engaged.
(Engine stops when blade control bail is released).
Check that Chute Interlock Switch is properly connected

SAFETY WARNING: Stop engine
by releaslng Blade Control Bail.
With engine stopped, disconnect
Chute Interlock Switch from wiring
harness and check continuity
of switch
grass catcher on and
off mower
CLOSED, continuity, when grass
catcher is
off mower
If no change in continuity occurs with
grass catcher movement, check for
presence of magnet in housing
If missing, replace magnet
If present, replace chute interlock
Retest new switch for continuity.
With continuity meter attached, put
Switch should
be OPEN, no continuity,
when grass catcher is on mower and
switch

OPEN/CLOSE NO CHANGE
Switch ok
If no change in continuity occures with
grass catcher movement. Replace
magnet
Retest
for continuity
- Retest engine stopping
