Remove metric nut securing transmis-
sion pulley to input shaft and remove drive belt
and pulley from transmission.
Remove key from transmission input shaft.

Disconnect speed control cable from link-
age plate and transmission shift lever. Rotate
transmission toward rear of housing and un-
hookspring end of self-propelled cable from ac-
tuator arm assembly.
Remove screws securing height adjustor
plates to housing. Slide height adjust plate and
bracket assemblies out of housing and remove
transmission. Remove height adjust assem-
blies from axle shaft.
DISASSEMBLY
Disconnect clutch return spring from linkage
plate.
Remove
two
metric cap screws securing link-
age plate to transmission case.

Insert screwdriver between clutch arm
and transmission case and carefully pry up
clutch arm.
Unhook link and slide actuator arm and bushing
assembly
off
axle shaft.

Repeat procedure and pry shift arm from trans-
mission.
