Disconnect connector
"E"
"F",
handle
wiring harness from engine wiring harness.
Connect ohmmeter (RX-1 scale) or continuity
light to
"F"
connector white and green terminals.
Turn key and check for continuity.
SPECIFICATION
Key In Start Position

Key In Run Position
No Contlnuity
If
both specification conditions are not met,
i
check wiring hamess for shorted, crimped or
broken wires. Repair/replace
as
necessary.
Test switch in handle console assembly. Re-
place switch.
Retest new switch for continuity.
Disconnect connector "C" D", starter motor
from engine wiring harness.
Disconnect leads from terminals
85
and
86
on starter relay. Using ohmmeter (RX-1
scale) measure resistance.
SPECIFICATION
Starter Relay Resistance
50
100
ohms
Replace relay
if
not within specification.
Reconnect leads to terminals
85
and
86.
Disconnect leads to terminals
87
and
30
on starter relay. Using ohmmeter (RX-1 scale) or con-
tinuity light connected to terminals
87
and
30.
Energize starter relay with key switch and check
continuity.
SPECIFICATION

If no change
in
continuity occurs, replace starter relay.
Reconnect all electrical connectors.
Retest new starter relay for continuity.
