STORAGE
PROCEDURE
Store the mower in a
dry
place. Clean out and
wash
off
grass bag. Hang grass bag and let dry
completely before storing.
A
SAFETY
WARNING:
Do
not store
gasoline (fuel) unnecessarily over
long periods of time.
To
prevent possible
explosion, store only
In
approved "safe"
contalners.
To
prevent explosion of vapor-
ized fuel, do not store the mower wlth fuel
In
the tank or carburetor
in
an enclosure wlth
an open flame. (Example: furnace or water
heater pilot light).
Allow
the engine
to
cool
before storlng
in
any enclosure.
Add Lawn-Boy
2
+
4®Fuel Conditioner to
stabilize fuel stored (Follow instructions on
container); available from your Lawn-Boy
dealer.
If
possible, the last fuel
fill
of the year
should be treated with Lawn-Boy Fuel Condi-
tioner.
Do
not store more than
3
months.
Plan ahead
and
try to run the mower near empty
when mowing for the last time prior to storage.
The smaller the amount of fuel in the tank, the
shorter the period required to run the fuel sys-
tem dry.
To run fuel system dry, move the mower to a
safe outside location and start the mower and
run until the engine stops.
Close the fuel shut-off valve.
