tance from cable

adjust; turn locknuts on cable barrel until
correct dimension is achieved.
Start engine and check blade stopping time
using a Lawn-Boy mower monitor. Blade must
stop within
3
seconds.
GEAR SELECT CABLE
SAFETY WARNING: To prevent
accldental starting

connect spark
plug
lead. Electric Start
Model: Remove rear access door mounting
screw,
tilt
access door back and disconnect
battery connector.
Removal
Electric Start Model: Remove starter relay
mounting screw from battery mounting
bracket. Do not disconnect leads attached
to starter relay. Disconnect wire harness
from electronic cup assembly.
Remove set screws securing throttle knob and
gear select knob to levers, and remove knobs.

Remove six screws from bottom of
handle console.

NOTE:
Upper cover assembly contains
a
locating pin. Slide cover assembly to right to
remove locating pin from handle assembly.
Electric Start Model: Remove leads from
key switch assembly.
Engage blade control bail and remove upper
cover assembly.

Disconnect cable from gear shift lever in handle
Remove rear access door fom mower housing.
