A
dirty paper air filter or pre-filter can cause
loss
of power.
Clean or replace the paper air filter every
50
hours of operation or once a season More
often in extremely dirty or dusty conditions.
Loosen the
two
screws securing air filter
cover to filter base, tilt down and remove cover.
With finger or blunt stick push through
slots on bottom of air filter cover to remove pre-
filter from inside cover. Tap lightly to remove dirt
and foreign material.
If
very dirty, wash in
a
low
or nonsudsing detergent and warm water solu-
tion. Rinse thoroughly, wrap in cloth and pat dry
or replace
if
necessary. Reinstall the pre-filter in
cover.
NOTE:
Do
not
oil
pre-filter
as
it
will
plug up.
Remove the paper air filter from filter base.
Examine for excessive dirt or foreign material.
Tap lightly to remove dirt or replace
if
neces-
sary. Hold
a
strong light bedhind paper air filter.
If
light is not seen through filter, replace paper
air filter.
