COMPONENTS OVERVIEW
This section describes the major components for the LB
Performance CB95 Broom. Become familiar with these
components before operating the machine.
Broom CabBroom Cab
The LB Performance CB95 Broom is equipped with a
fully-enclosed, pressurized cab for maximum operator
comfort on the job site, including air conditioning and
heat. Cab options are also available.
The broom is equipped with the PV380-R2 Digital
Display unit on the control panel to the right of the
operator that features throttle control, tachometer,
fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, coolant temperature,
voltmeter and hour meter.
The main control panel is conveniently located to the
right of the operator’s seat. Various controls include a
joystick with buttons for oating the brush, swinging the
broom left or right, and side shift (if equipped with this
option).
Engine Engine
The LB Performance CB95 Broom uses a four-cylinder,
turbo-charged diesel engine to drive the hydraulic
auxiliary pumps for steering and broom control. The
Hatz 74 HP turbo diesel engine performs at 2500 RPMs,
and is easily accessible from either side of the machine.
An air cleaner mounted on top of the engine lters ne
particles such as dust, sand, chaff, and lint from the air.
A pre-cleaner removes larger particles of dirt and debris
before the air enters the air lter elements, depositing
the trapped materials into the pre-cleaner bowl.
As air is taken in, a cyclone action deposits some of the
ne particles in the evacuator mounted on the bottom
of the air cleaner housing. The evacuator is held closed
during engine operation by suction. This pre-cleaner
system relieves the load on the air lter elements and
allows longer intervals between servicing.
Primary and secondary fuel lters remove contaminants
from diesel fuel before the fuel ows to the injection
pump for injection into the engine combustion chamber.
A radiator mounted at the rear of the broom cools the
engine. As coolant ows through the radiator, airow
from the engine-driven fan removes heat from the
coolant.
Refer to your Engine Operator’s Manual for a complete
description and specications of the engine.
