Side Shift Brush Swing (Option)Side Shift Brush Swing (Option)
The Side Shift option adds even more reach and
maneuverability, allowing operators to sweep outside
the front tires to reach areas 12 to 18 inches away from
the machine body. The brush swing angles up to 54
degrees.
The side shift feature is especially useful for sweeping
materials to the side or away from curbs, walls or other
stationary obstacles. The side shift option is also
advantageous for milling road construction projects
as it prevents tires from scrubbing as it windrows the
millings, sweeping the entire width of the cut in one pass.
If equipped with this option, use the lower two buttons on
the joystick to swing the brush left or right. (Figure 4-14
on previous page.)
Brush SwingBrush Swing
Push the brush swing switches on the joystick slowly to
gradually adjust the brush swing left or right. (Figure
4-14) Hold the button down to move the brush to its full
swing position.
Brush Rotation LeverBrush Rotation Lever
The Brush Rotation lever is located on the control panel.
(Figure 4-15)
Pushing the lever forward allows the brush to push
debris to the front of the broom. This is the normal
sweeping position.
Pulling the lever back turns the brush rotation off.
Brush Speed and Down PressureBrush Speed and Down Pressure
The Brush Down Pressure knob controls the amount
of brush contact pressure to the work surface. (Figure
4-15)
Turn dial left to increase brush speed.
Turn dial right to decrease brush speed based on
engine RPMs.
Turn the dial clockwise to increase pressure.
Turn the dial counterclockwise to decrease pressure.
For best results, operate in the FLOAT position.
Be careful not to use excessive down
pressure as the brush can be damaged.
