Change Drive Axle OilChange Drive Axle Oil
Change the drive axle oil every year. Check the oil level
and ll if needed quarterly.
To ll the oil:
1. Rotate the hub on one side of the front axle until the
plug is in the 12 o’clock position.
2. Remove the plug. (Figure 5-22)
3. Add one quart of 80W-90LS GL5 oil..
4. Replace the plug.
5. Follow Steps 1 - 4 on the other side.
To change the drive axle oil:
1. Remove the level plug in the center of the housing.
2. Remove the breather plug in the housing.
3. Add oil until it starts coming out of the level plug.
4. Replace the level plug.
5. Allow the axle to sit level for at least ve minutes to
allow the oil to ow to the hubs.
6. Remove the level plug and check oil level.
7. Add more oil if needed.

Only a qualied service technician
should adjust the parking brake as serious damage
can occur to this important component. See your
authorized LB Performance dealer for assistance.
Serious injury or even death can result
from an improper park brake adjustment.
Only a qualied technician should perform the following
procedure:
1. Loosen the park brake bolt.
2. Rotate the park brake knob clockwise to tighten
the brake cable or counterclockwise to loosen the
brake cable.
3. When the desired tension is reached, retighten the
park brake bolt.

Check the master cylinder uid daily. The master cyl-
inder uid ller cap is located on the cab oor behind the
brake pedal. (Figure 5-23) Only ll one inch below the
top of the ll neck with hydraulic oil.
If the master cylinder uid is
frequently low, check the hydraulic system for leaks.
