SYMPTOM CAUSE REMEDY
Hydraulic system
overheats.
Low hydraulic oil level. Rell with hydraulic uid.
Defective temperature gauge or
sender giving wrong temperature
reading.
Replace gauge or sender.
Brush drive relief valve set too
low or defective.
Adjust relief valve to 2500 PSI. Replace if
defective.
Excessive ambient air tempera-
ture and high-duty cycle.
Operate broom at slower ground speed and
maximum engine RPMs during hot weather.
Plugged ns on uid cooler.
Clean ns and correct any other problems with
cooling air ow.
Hydrostatic pump bypass valve
defective or open.
Repair or replace. If valve is open, turn valve
clockwise until seated and torque to 9.5 - 14
N•m (7-10 ft lb). DO NOT over torque as this will
damage valve.
Worn hydrostatic pump. Repair or replace.
Engine oil pressure is low.
Electrical power not being sup-
plied to gauge.
Check fuse.
Incorrect oil level. Too high or
too low.
Check for leaks. Add or drain engine oil. Check
dipstick calibration.
Oil lter plugged. Change oil lter.
Oil diluted with fuel.
Replace fuel injector, fuel transfer pump and
injection pump.
Oil diluted with coolant. See your authorized LB Performance dealer.
Incorrect oil specications. Change oil.
Oil pressure sender or gauge
malfunctioning.
Replace oil pressure sender or gauge.
Engine coolant temperature
above normal.
Radiator nd damaged or
obstructed.
Inspect radiator ns. Clean, repair or replace.
Collapsed or restricted radiator
hose.
Inspect hoses. Replace if needed.
Loose fan drive belt.
Check belt tension and tighten or replace as
needed.
Cooling fan shroud damaged or
missing.
Inspect shroud. Repair or replace.
Incorrect or malfunctioning
radiator cap.
Check radiator cap and replace if needed.
Temperature gauge or sender
malfunctioning.
Repair or replace.
Thermostat stuck in closed
position.
Test thermostat. Replace if necessary.
Dirt, scale or rust in the cooling
system.
Clean cooling system.
