Whenapower-onpasswordisset,youcanenabletheUnattendedStartmode,inwhichthekeyboardand
mouseremainlockedbuttheoperatingsystemcanstart.Youcanunlockthekeyboardandmouseby
typingthepower-onpassword.
Ifyouforgetthepower-onpassword,youcanregainaccesstotheserverinanyofthefollowingways:
•Ifanadministratorpasswordisset,typetheadministratorpasswordatthepasswordprompt.Startthe
Setuputilityandresetthepower-onpassword.
Attention:Ifyousetanadministratorpasswordandthenforgetit,thereisnowaytochange,override,or
removeit.Youmustreplacethesystemboard.
•Removethebatteryfromtheserver,wait30seconds,andthenreinstallit.
•Changethepositionofthepower-onpasswordswitch(enableswitch3ofthesystemboardswitch
block(SW4)tobypassthepasswordcheck(see“System-boardswitchesandjumpers”onpage29
formoreinformation).
