Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toremovetheoperatorinformationpanelassembly,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage184).
Step2.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage189).
Step3.Removethefancageassembly(see“Removingthefancageassembly”onpage272).
Step4.Disconnectthedrivecablesfromthebackofthedrivebay1.
Step5.RemovetheDVDdrive(see“RemovingaDVDdrive”onpage205)orthetapedrive(see“Removing
anoptionaltapedrive”onpage208)whichisinstalledindrivebay1.
Step6.Disconnecttheoperatorinformationpanelassemblycablefromthesystemboard(see
“System-boardinternalconnectors”onpage27).
Step7.LocatetheoperatorinformationpanelassemblyreleaselatchjustabovetheDVDdrive.
