1.Ifonlyonehot-swappowersupplyisinstalledintheserver,apower-supplyfillermustbe
installedintheemptypowerbay.
2.Donotmixpowersupplieswithdifferentwattageintheserver.
Step4.Routethepowercordthroughthehandleandcabletieifany,sothatitdoesnotaccidentally
becomeunplugged.
Step5.Connectoneendofthepowercordforthenewpowersupplyintotheconnectoronthebackofthe
powersupply;then,connecttheotherendofthepowercordtoaproperlygroundedelectrical
outlet.
Note:Iftheserverhasbeenturnedoff,youmustwaitapproximately3minutesafteryouconnect
theserverpowercordtoanelectricaloutletbeforethepower-controlbuttonbecomesactive.
Step6.MakesurethattheacpowerLEDandthedcpowerLEDontheacpowersupplyarelit,indicating
thatthepowersupplyisoperatingcorrectly.ThetwogreenLEDsaretotherightofthepower-cord
connector.
Step7.Ifyouarereplacingapowersupplywithoneofadifferentwattage,applythepowerinformation
labelprovidedwiththenewpowersupplyovertheexistingpowerinformationlabelontheserver.

Step8.Ifyouareaddingapowersupplytotheserver,attachtheredundantpowerinformationlabelthat
comeswiththisoptionontheservercovernearthepowersupplies.
