IfDSAPrebootisinstalled,restarttheserverandpress
F2tostartDSAPrebootandviewtheeventlogs(see
“RunningDSAPrebootdiagnosticprograms”onpage

formoreinformation).
Alternatively,youcanrestarttheserverandpressF1to
starttheSetuputilityandviewthePOSTeventlogor
system-eventlog.Formoreinformation,see“Viewing
eventlogsthroughtheSetuputility”onpage142.
Clearingtheeventlogs
Usethisinformationtocleartheeventlogs.
Tocleartheeventlogs,completethefollowingsteps.
Note:ThePOSTerrorlogisautomaticallyclearedeachtimetheserverisrestarted.
Step1.Turnontheserver.
Step2.Whentheprompt<F1>Setupisdisplayed,pressF1.Ifyouhavesetbothapower-onpassword
andanadministratorpassword,youmusttypetheadministratorpasswordtoviewtheeventlogs.
Step3.TocleartheIMM2system-eventlog,selectSystemEventLogsClearSystemEventLog,
then,pressEntertwice.
POST
Whenyouturnontheserver,itperformsaseriesofteststochecktheoperationoftheservercomponents
andsomeoptionaldevicesintheserver.Thisseriesoftestsiscalledthepower-onself-test,orPOST.
