Step2.LocatetheServeRAIDadapterwhichyouwillinstallthememorymodule.RemovetheServeRAID
adapterifnecessary.

ontheserver;then,removethememorycardfromthepackage.
Step4.AlignthememorymodulewiththeconnectorontheServeRAIDadapterandpushitintothe
connectoruntilitisfirmlyseated.

UsethisinformationtoinstallaRAIDadapterbatteryorflashpowermoduleremotelyintheserver.
Note:WhenyouinstallanyRAIDadapterthatcomeswithbatteries,itissometimesnecessarytoinstallthe
batteriesinanotherlocationintheservertopreventthebatteriesfromoverheating.

Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
ToinstallaRAIDadapterbatteryorflashpowermoduleremotelyintheserver,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage40).
Step2.InstalltheServeRAIDadapteronthesystemboard(see“Installinganadapter”onpage216).
Step3.Connectoneendofthebattery/flashpowermodulecabletothebattery/flashpowermodule
connector.
Step4.Routetheremotebattery/flashpowermodulecableasshowninthefollowingillustration.
