Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toremoveanoptionalfull-heighttapedrive,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage184).
Step2.Openthebezel(see“Openingthebezelmediadoor”onpage181).
Step3.Removetheairbaffleifinstalled(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage189).
Step4.Removethefancageassembly(see“Removingthefancageassembly”onpage272).
Step5.Disconnectthepowerandsignalcablesfromthebackofthetapedrive.
Step6.Graspthebluetabsoneachsideofthetapedriveandpresstheminwardwhileyoupullthe
driveoutoftheserver.
