Usethisinformationtoremovethefancageassemblyfromtheserver.

Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toremovethefancageassembly,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Carefullyturntheserveronitssidesothatitislyingflat,withthecoverfacingup.
Attention:Donotallowtheservertofallover.
Step2.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage184).
Step3.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage189).
Step4.Removealllongcardsfromthesystemboard.
Step5.Disconnectthefancagepowercablefromthesystemboard(see“Internalcableroutingand
connectors”onpage312).
Step6.Loosenthethumbscrewonthefancagereleaselatch.
