ToinstallaSAS/SATA8PacHDDoption,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Removethebezel(see“Removingthebezel”onpage186).
Step2.Removetheleftsidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage184).
Step3.Removethefillersifnecessary.
Step4.Installthe2.5-inchharddiskdrivecageifnecessary.
a.Alignthe2.5-inchharddiskdrivecagewiththechassistotheareahighlightedingreyas
followsandinstallitintheserver.
Note:Ifyouareupgradingtheharddiskdrivebaysfrom16to24andthe2.5-inchharddisk
drivecageisalreadyinstalled,keepthenew2.5-inchharddiskdrivecagecomeswiththe
optioninasafeplaceforpotentialfutureuse.
