7-2. Pneumatic trailer brake system (optional)
▶ The internal pressure of the pneumatic trailer brake system is relatively lower than
hydraulic system. But the leakage of the compressed air may result in much more
serious injury or death due to the compressible fluid characteristics.
▶ Before checking and repairing the system, stop engine and put on the protective
globes and clothes, and take care the leakage of the air pressure.

z The pneumatic trailer brake system is consisted of air-compressor, air-tank, couplers, lubrication
valve, unloader valve, control valves, line and connection parts.
z It is used to remotely control the single acting or double acting type air trailer brake device.
Depending on the trailer brake type, the connection line and method is so different. Contact your
authorized local dealer.
