5.7.3 Vario Parameters
5.7.3.1 Vario Needle Filter
Vario needle filter sets a time constant of the Vario needle. The value can be adjusted
between 0.1 and 5 s with step 1.0s or 0.1s. Default value is 2.0 s.
A lower number (0.1s compared to 5.0 s) means very sensitive (fast vario).
5.7.3.2 Vario Sound Filter
Sets a time constant of the Vario sound. The value can be adjusted between 0.1 and 5 s in
steps of 1.0 s or 0.1 s. Default value is 2.0 s.
5.7.3.3 Netto Filter
Sets a time constant of the Vario Netto needle. The value can be adjusted between 0.1
and 5 s in steps of 1.0 s or 0.1 s. Default value is 4.0 s.
5.7.3.4 Relative Filter
Sets a time constant of the Vario Relative needle. The value can be adjusted between 0.1
and 5 s in steps of 1.0 s or 0.1 s. Default value is 4.0 s.
5.7.3.5 SC Filter
SC filter sets a time constant of the Speed-To-Fly needle. The value can be adjusted
between 0.1 and 5 s in steps of 1.0 s or 0.1 s. Default value is 4.0 s.
5.7.3.6 Smart Filter
Using the Smart vario filter the vertical speed can be further filtered. The Smart vario
filter defines the maximum speed of the vario needle. "1" is the highest damping, "8" the
lowest. "Off" means no additional filtering.
