6. Adjust the co-pilot steering friction as follows:
• Loosen the secondary steering friction screw. This screw can be used after the
co-pilot lever has been adjusted to add steering friction on the tiller handle.

• Set the co-pilot lever to the full friction (left side) position.
• Tighten locknut to the desired co-pilot friction. Move the co-pilot lever to the less fric-
tion (right side) position, the outboard should steer freely.
