Thevacuumassistedhydraulicbrakesystemallowsthe
drivertoapplythebrakemoreeasily,andalsoimproves
thebrakingperformance.
Note:Whentheengineisnotstarted,thebrakepedal
willfeelhard,butwhentheengineisstarted,the
brakepedalwillfeelsoft,whichisthebrakebooster
inaction.
Thevacuumassistedhydraulicbrakesystemhelpsthe
driversaveeffortwhendepressingthebrakepedal,and
ensuresasafeandquickbraking,however,indailydriving,
thefollowingnon-standardoperationsshouldbeavoided:
•Neverallowthecartocoastwiththeengineameout.
Sincethevacuumassistedhydraulicbrakesystem
functionsonlywhentheengineisrunning,braking
whenthecariscoastingwiththeengineameoutmay
causebrakingfailure.
•Incaseofameoutwhiledriving,youshoulddepressthe
brakepedaltostopthevehicleasquicklyastrafcsafety
permits.Duringbraking,DONOTpumpthebrake
pedal,becauseitwillexcessivelyconsumethevacuum
boostinthebrakingsystem,therebyrequiringincreased
pressingforce,andreducingtheeasinessinbraking.
Duringdriving,thefollowingmattersshouldbenoted:
•Whenthebrakingefciencyofvacuumbooster
decreasesduetothechangeofatmosphericpressure
fromplaintoplateauregions,theuserneedstodepress
thebrakepedalwithgreatereffortthanusualtogain
effectivebraking.
•Whendrivingthroughpuddlesorheavyrain,awater
lmmayformonthesurfaceofbrakedisc,whicheasily
reducesthebrakingefciencyandextendsbraking
distance.Inthiscase,keepasafedistancefromother
vehiclesandintermittentlyapplythebrakepedalto
keepthebrakediscsurfacedry.
•Ifthebrakingefciencydecreasesduetovehiclefailure,
pleasecontactalocalAuthorisedRepairerforservice
assoonaspossible.
