T yreInspection
USEOFDEFECTIVETYRESARE
DANGEROUS!DONOTdriveifanytyreis
damaged,excessivelyworn,orinatedto
anincorrectpressure.
Itisrecommendedtoinstallthetyres
consistentwiththeoriginalspecications.
DONOTreplacethetyreswithtyresofany
othertype.Alternativetyres,ofadifferent
specication,mayadverselyaffectthe
vehicle'sdrivingcharacteristicsandsafety.
Forbetterguaranteeofyoursafety,we
recommendyouconsultanMGAuthorised
Repairer.
Alwaysdrivewithconsiderationfortheconditionofthe
tyres,andregularlyinspectthetreadandsidewallsforany
signofdistortion(bulges),cutsorwear .
Note:Preventtyresfromcomingintocontactwithoil,
greaseandfuel.
T yrePressure
Beforealongdistancejourney,thetyre
pressuremustbechecked.
Checkthepressuresatleasteverymonth,whenthetyres
arecold.
Ifitisnecessarytocheckthetyreswhentheyarewarm,
youshouldexpectthepressurestohaveincreasedby30
40kPa(i.e.0.30.4bar).Inthiscircumstance,NEVER
letairoutofthetyresinordertomatchtherecommended
pressures(cold)inthetechnicaldata.
Valves
Keepthevalvecapsrmlysecuredtopreventdirtfrom
enteringthevalve.Checkthevalveforleaks(listenfora
tell-talehissing)whenyoucheckthetyrepressure.
PuncturedT yres
Y ourvehicleisttedwithtyreswhichmaynotleakif
penetratedbyasharpobject,providedtheobjectremains
inthetyre.Ifyouareawareofthisoccurring,reducespeed
immediatelyanddrivewithcautionuntilthesparewheel
canbetted,orrepairsundertaken.
