AdaptiveCruiseControl*
Theadaptivecruisecontrolsystemis
designedasacomfortsystem.Itprovides
assistancetothedriver,butDOESNOT
replaceanyofthedriver’sresponsibilities.
Whenusingtheadaptivecruisecontrol
system,itisimportantthatthedriver
maintainsconcentrationatALLtimesand
ispreparedtotakeaction.Otherwise,
accidentsorpersonalinjuriesmayoccur.
Dependingonwhetherthereisavehicleahead,the
adaptivecruisecontrolcanconductautomaticswitching
betweenconstantspeedcruiseandcar-followingcruise.
Withtheadaptivecruisecontrol,thevehicleisallowed
toconductconstantspeedcruisewithinacertainspeed
range,orconductcar-followingcruisebysettingthe
distancebetweenthevehicleandthevehicleahead.Ifa
vehicleisdetectedinyourpathoftravel,theACCmay
applymoderatebrakingoraccelerationtomaintainthe
selectedfollowingdistance.
Note:Theadaptivecruisecontrolsystemisdesigned
forhighwaysandroadsingoodcondition.Itis
recommendedthatitisNOTusedonurbanroadsand
mountainroads.
AdaptiveCruiseActivation
Afterfollowingthevehicleaheadtoa
stop,thedrivermustensurethatthereare
noobstaclesorothertrafcparticipants,
suchaspedestrians,directlyinfrontofthe
vehiclebeforestartingofftofollowthe
vehicleaheadagain.
Whilstusingthecarfollowingcruise
function,itisstronglyrecommendedthat
thedriverdoesnottouchtheaccelerator
pedal.Anyactivationoftheaccelerator
willnotallowtheadaptivecruisecontrol
systemtoautomaticallyapplythebrakes.
Thevehicleisonlycontrolledbythedriver's
manipulationoftheacceleratorpedal.
