MGAuthorisedRepairerinordertocarry
outanemergencymanualreleaseofthe
parkingbrake.
PulluptheEPBswitchtoturnontheEPBsystemafter
thevehicleisparkedsafely.PlacetheStartSwitchin
ON/RUNNING/READ Yposition,depressthebrakepedal,
andpresstheEPBswitchtoturnofftheEPBsystem.
IftheindicatorintheEPBswitchandthered
indicatorontheinstrumentpackilluminate,it
indicatesthattheEPBsystemhasbeenturnedon.Ifthe
indicatorintheEPBswitchandtheindicator
onthe
instrumentpackgooff,itindicatesthattheEPBsystem
hasbeenturnedoff.
Note:AlwaysturnontheEPBsystemeverytimeyou
leavethevehicle.
Note:Anaudiblemotornoisemaybeheardwhen
turningonorofftheEPBsystem.
IMPORTANT
Intheeventofaatbatteryorpowerfailure,itis
notpossibletoapplyorreleasetheEPB.Insucha
case,'boostercables'shallbeusedforemergencystart
ofthepowersystem.Pleasereferto"JumpStart"in
"EmergencyInformation"chapter.
