Inordertousetheintelligentdriverassistance
functions,theuserandthedrivermustpay
specialattentionto,understandandacceptthe
following:
1Allcurrentlyavailableintelligentdriverassistance
functionsrequirethedrivertoactivelymonitor
andtakeovertheentiredrivingprocess,andthe
vehiclehasnotyetbeenfullyautomated.Thesafety
andreliabilityofthesefunctionswillneedtobe
demonstratedbymoredrivingmilesinorderto
reachalevelofdrivingthatfarexceedsthatof
ahumandriver.Therealizationofautonomous
drivingisalsodependentonlegalregulationsand
administrativeapprovals(whichmaytakelonger
insomejurisdictions).Astheseintelligentdriver
assistancefunctionsevolveandimprove,yourvehicle
willbeupdatedandupgradedinafeasiblemanner
(whicheverisfeasibleforyourvehicle'ssoftwareand
hardwareatthattime).
2Usersanddriversshouldcarefullyread,study,
understandandimplementthecontentsofthe
correspondingOwner'sHandbook,anduseand
servicethevehicle(andtherelatedfunctions)
inaccordancewiththerequirementstherein(in
particular,thedescriptionsofthefunctionmodules
andrestrictionsontheuseoftheIntelligentDriver
AssistanceandtheIntelligentCockpit).Usersand
driversshouldalwaysbeartheresponsibilitiesand
obligationsstipulatedintheRoadT rafcSafetyLaw
andotherlawsandregulations,andalwaystake
overthesteeringwheelandthebrakes.Theuser
orthedrivershallbearalltheresponsibilitiesand
consequencesofanypersonalorpropertydamage
causedbytheuser'sorthedriver'sfaults(e.g.,failing
tousethevehicleinaccordancewiththerequirements
oftheOwner'sHandbook,orfailingtotakeover
thesteeringwheeland/orthebrakesatanytimein
accordancewiththerequirementsoftheRoadTrafc
SafetyLaw,etc.).
