differentrelativespeedwiththevehicleahead,thehigher
therelativespeed,thelongerthefollowingdistanceis
selected.Consideringthetrafcandweatherconditions,
theoptionalfollowingdistancerangemaynotbesuitable
foralldriversanddrivingconditions.
AdaptiveCruiseT argetSpeedAdjustment
Whentheadaptivecruisecontrolisactive:
•Usetheacceleratorpedaltoreachthedesirespeed,
andpresstheadjustmentknob(1),thenreleasethe
adjustmentknobandacceleratorpedal,thevehiclewill
cruiseatthedesiredspeed.
•Movetheadjustmentknobupwardandhold,thetarget
speedwillincreaseuntilthedesiredsetspeedappears
ontheinstrumentpack,thenreleasetheknob.Whenit
isconrmedthatthereisnovehicleaheadorthevehicle
aheadisbeyondthepre-selectedfollowingdistance,the
vehiclespeedcanbeincreasedtothesetspeed.
•Movetheadjustmentknobdownwardandhold,the
targetspeedwilldecreaseuntilthedesiredsetspeed
appearsontheinstrumentpack,thenreleasetheknob,
andthespeedwillbedecreasedtothesetspeed.
•Whenadjustingthetargetspeedwiththeadjustment
knob,movetheknobslightly,andeachadjustmentwill
makethetargetspeedchange;movetheknoband
hold,andthetargetspeedwillincreaseordecrease
continuouslyuntiltheknobisreleased.
Note:Ifthevehicleaheadcontinuouslymakeshard
accelerationordeceleration,theACCsystemmaynot
beabletokeepthefollowingdistanceaccurately,the
drivermustpayattentionandperformtheoperations
suchasbrakingorlanechangeintimeaccordingtothe
surroundingenvironment.
AdaptiveCruisePause
Whentheadaptivecruisecontrolsystemisactivated,short
pressthePilotswitchtocancelthefunction,andthesystem
willexittotheStandbystate.
