positionedaslowaspossibleacrossyourhips(Never
crosstheabdomen),sothatinacollisionaccident,thelap
beltcanapplyforcetothermhips,reducethepossibility
ofbodymovingunderthelapbelt,andmaximizethe
protectionforoccupantsagainstinjury.Thisisbecauseif
theaccidentoccurs,thebodymovesunderthelapbelt,
causingthelapbelttoapplyforceonabdomen,which
maycauseseriousorfatalinjuries.Theshoulderbelt
shouldcrossthemiddleoftheshoulderandthechest.
Nevercrossyourneck,arms,orcrossunderyourarms
orbehindyourback.Intheeventofanemergencybraking
orcollision,theshoulderbeltwillbetightened.
T oensurethattheseatbeltsalwaysprovidemaximum
protection,ensurethebeltisat,notlooseandcontacts
thebody.Adjustseatbelttoensureitisnotloose.

seatbelt.
Makesuretheseatbeltupperanchorpoint
hasbeenadjustedtoproperheightand
lockedinplace,orinjuryevendeathmaybe

Thefrontseatbeltsareequippedwithanupperanchor
pointheightadjuster ,sothattheshoulderbeltpasses
throughthemiddleoftheshoulder(awayfromthefaceand
neck,butdoesnotslidebelowtheshoulder).Incorrect
positioningwillreducetheefciencyoftheseatbeltinthe
eventofacollisionoremergencybraking.
