Whenthesystemdetectsthatthedriverhasnotcontrolled
thesteeringwheelforacertainperiodoftime,itwillgive
warningstopromptthedriver .
Note:Thedrivershalladjustthevehiclespeedand
thefollowingdistanceaccordingtotheroadvisibility,
weatherandroadconditions.Theintelligentcruise
assist(ICA)systemdoesnotrespondtopedestrians,
animals,stationaryvehiclesandvehiclesthatdrive
acrossthelaneoroncomingvehiclesonthesamelane.
Iftheintelligentcruiseassistsystemcannotreducethe
vehiclespeedsufciently,thedrivershallapplythe
brakebydepressingthebrakepedal.Ifanothervehicle
cutsintothecurrentlaneundercongestedconditions,
thesystemmaynotbraketimelyduetothefactthat
thecut-invehicledoesnotenteritsdetectionrange,
andthedrivershallactivelyapplythebrake.
Theintelligentcruiseassistfunctionwillbe
limitedordoesnotworkinthefollowing
conditions:
•Therearescenarioswheretheadaptivecruisefunction
islimited;
•Vehiclespeedisgreaterthanacertainvalue;
•Thedriverturnsontheturnsignallamps;
•Thedriverdepressestheacceleratorpedalrapidlyor
makesemergencysteering;
•Thesystemrecognizesthatthedriverdoesnot
manipulatethesteeringwheelforaperiodoftime;
•Whenthesystemimplementsthecontrol,thedriveris
manipulatingthesteeringwheel;
•Thelanelineistoothin,damagedorfuzzy;
•Thelanelineschange,forexample,thelanelinesare
changedtoshscalelines;
•Roaddisturbance(undulations,bumps);
•Thelanesaheadmerge(laneclosure);
•Thevehicleisdrivingonthecurvewithasmall
curvatureradiusorontoonarrowortoowideroad;
•Thevehiclehasjustenteredtheroadsectionwithlanes
orhaspassedtheroadsectionwithoutlanelines;
•Complexroadconditionssuchasintersections,
T -junctions,lanelinesdividedormerged,andlanelines
bent;
•Gravel,grass,treesorroadedgescomposedofdifferent
materials;
•ThevehicleisinReversegear;
•Thevehiclemakesrapidlanechangeorlateralsway;
