thedoorhandlewithinthe1.5mrangeinordertolock
andunlockthedoorsusingthekeylessfunction.
KeylessLocking
AfterpressingtheStartswitchtoturnoffthepower
system,pressthebuttononthefrontdoorhandleonce
(noneedtopresstheLockbuttonontheremotekey)to
lockalldoorsbeforeleavingthevehicle,thenthevehicle
willenteranti-theftalarmstate.
KeylessUnlocking
Pressthebuttononthefrontdoorhandleoncetounlock
thevehicle,thenpullthedoorhandletoopenthedoor.
Note:Whenthevehicleislocked,ifyouarewithinthe
smartkeyrangeandoperatethedoorhandlebutton
butcarryoutnofurtheraction,thevehiclewillthen
automaticallylockitselftoremainsecure.
IMPORTANT
Oncethedoorhasbeenlockedbythekey,pressthe
buttononthedoorhandletounlockthevehicle.Ifthe
vehiclecannotbeunlockedorlockednormally,please
contactalocalMGAuthorisedRepairer.
Mislock
Iflockingoperationisperformedwhenthedriver'sdoor
isnotfullyclosedortheStartswitchisplacedinposition
ACC/ON/RUNNING/READ Y,thedoorwillnotbe
locked,andthehornwillsoundoncetoindicateamislock,
withthebodyanti-theftsysteminoperative.
Iflockingoperationisperformedwhenthedriver'sdooris
closedbutthepassenger'sdoor,bonnetortailgateisnot
fullyclosed,thevehiclehornwillsoundonce,indicatinga
mislock.Inthiscase,the'partialarming'attributesofthe
bodyanti-theftsystemwillenable(allfullycloseddoors,
bonnetortailgateapertureswillbeprotected,butan
openaperturewillnot!).Oncetheopeneddoor,bonnet
ortailgateisclosed,thesystemautomaticallyentersthe
completeanti-theftstate.Iftheremotekeyisputbackin
(orleftbehind)thevehicleandtheopeneddoorisclosed,
thevehiclewillbeautomaticallyunlocked.
Note:Whenthevehicleislocked,unlockandopen
thetailgateonly,put(orleave)theremotekeyinthe
vehicleagain,thenclosethetailgate,inthiscasethe
tailgatewillautomaticallyejectandcannotbeclosed.
