4.11 Door Latch Interlock Switch
A. Removal
(1) Unplug power cord from outlet receptacle.
(2) Remove R.H. side panel (Refer to para 4.2).
(3) Disconnect the two leads (A, Fig. 4-11) of door
interlock switch (1) from PC Board (2) terminals
J1 and J2.
(4) Remove interlock switch (1) (two screws, lock-
washers, and nuts) from door bracket (B).
B. Installation
(1) Install interlock switch (1, Figure 4-11) in door
bracket (B) securing with two screws, lockwash-
ers and nuts.
(2) Install leads (A) of interlock switch (1) on termi-
nals J1 and J2 of main P.C. board (2).
(3) Plug power cord into outlet receptacle.
(4) Run Service Diagnostics to check operation of
door interlock switch (1) (refer to Service Diag-
nostics [Door Open Test], Para 2.2).
(5) Install R.H. side panel (Refer to para 4.2).
(6) Run a Sterilization Cycle and check operation.
4.12 Door Opening Motor Assemby
A. Removal
(1) Unplug power cord from outlet receptacle.
(2) Remove R.H. side panel (Refer to para 4.2).
(3) Disconnect the motor assembly plug connector
(1, Figure 4-12) from J15 on PC Board.
(4) Mark the hole position on the motor lever arm
(3) where the motor connecting rod (2) is
inserted.
(5) After removing the mounting nuts (4), discon-
nect the motor connecting rod (2), and remove
the motor mounting bracket (5).
(6) Remove the door motor switch and harness (6).
B. Installation
(1) Install the door motor switch (6, Figure 4-12) on
the motor mounting bracket (5).
(2) Insert the motor connecting rod (2) into the hole
that it was removed from on the motor lever arm
(3), then insert the other end of the rod into the
hole in the latch lever (7)
(3) Secure the motor mounting bracket (5) to the
chamber bracket.
(4) Rotate the motor lever arm (3) downward until it
is clear of the door motor switch (6).

NOTE
The motor connecting rod (2) must be installed in the
same hole in the motor lever arm (3) from where it
was removed.
