2.3 Areas to Check For Pressure Leaks

Component Check Correction
Door Gasket Check for water leaking around door. Clean or replace door gasket
(Refer to para. 4.8).
Vent Valve Check for water leaking from outlet of condensing
coil (A).
Clean or replace vent valve.
(Refer to para. 4.18).
Fill Valve Check for water leaking back into reservoir thru
fill line (B), raising reservoir water level or bubbles coming
from bottom of reservoir.
Clean or replace fill valve.
(Refer to para. 4.18).
Air Valve Check for excessive steam exhausting from outlet of con-
densing coil (A).
NOTE: During the HEAT& VENT modes steam will be
exhausted from the condensing coil (A).
Clean or replace Air Valve
(Refer to para. 4.15).
Pressure Relief Valve Check for water or steam leakage beneath back (C) of ster-
ilizer from pressure relief valve.
Replace Pressure Relief Valve (Refer to para.
4.17). NOTE: Run a Pressure Relief Valve Test
(para. 4.16) before replacing valve.
Pressure Sensor Hose Check for steam leakage onto Main PC Board where Pres-
sure Sensor Hose connects (D) to Pressure Transducer.
Secure pressure sensor hose to pressure trans-
ducer with high temperature cable tie.
Water Level Sensor Check for leakage at the Water Level Sensor. Repair or replace the Water Level Sensor
(Refer to para 4.22).
Heating Element Check for leakage at bottom of chamber around heating
element connections.
Repair or replace heating element gaskets
(Refer to para 4.21).
Various Fittings & Connections During Sterilization mode when the chamber produces the
highest pressures, check the various fittings for leakage.
Tighten or repair the fitting(s).
