Cause:
The bag change indicator is set to mixed dust, but the composition of the dirt
taken into the vacuum cleaner does not come under the category of mixed
dust.
Remedy:
Turn the adjustment screw on the bag change indicator counterclockwise.
(See Figure 020-2.) The indicator then reacts later.

3.3 Accessory Compartment Lid Difficult to Close
Cause:
Lid catch is stiff.
Remedy:
1. Open the lid.
2. Apply a thin coating of Baysilone oil (mat. no. 1940430 or 2988840) to the
catch retaining hooks.
Note:
Use only silicone oil; other types of oil can damage plastic parts.
3.4 Accessory Compartment Lid Difficult to Open
Cause:
Lid catch tabs are too long.
Remedy:
1. Open the lid.
2. Pull out the lid catch upwards.
3. Shorten both tabs by approximately one tenth of an inch (2 millimeters)
with a suitable sharp knife; see Figure 020-3.
