4.3 Casing Top Installation
1. Install the hinges (Figure 020-6, Item 1) and hinge arms in the guides.

2. Press the casing top downwards until it clips into place.
3. Install the filter.
4.4 Casing Top Replacement
Note:
The built-in socket (if applicable), accessory compartment lid, bag
change indicator, lid catch, torsion spring, hinges, slide shutter, holder,
slide sleeve and dust channel must be removed from the old casing top
and be installed in the new one.
1. Remove the accessory compartment lid. See Section 020-4.1.
2. Remove the accessories.
3. Remove the casing top. See Section 020-4.2.
4. Remove the slide sleeve and dust channel. See Section 020-4.7.
5. Remove the built-in socket, if applicable. See Section 020-4.14.
6. Install in reverse order on the new part. See Slide Sleeve and Dust
Channel Installation, Section 020-4.8, and Built-In Socket Installation,
Section 020-4.15.
