Vision System (Component Recognition)
The components placed on PWB are getting smaller and the lead connection and insertion
density is increasing. In addition, high placing accuracy is required because PWB structure
is getting more complicated.
To meet these requirements, the placement system employs Component Recognition
Cameras (Upward Cameras) and Teaching & Mark Inspection Cameras (Downward
Cameras).
• Structure
The vision system consists of host computer (VME), Vision Processor Board, Frame
Grabber Board and cameras (upward cameras and downward cameras).
<Figure 4-12> illustrates the block diagram of the vision system.
