Glossary of Timers
Auto-Attendant Day The length of time a call to the Auto-Attendant will ring, when the system is in day
mode, before the Auto-Attendant answers the call.
Auto-Attendant Night The length of time a call to the Auto-Attendant will ring, when the system is in night
mode, before the Auto-Attendant answers the call.
Auto-Attendant Dial
Time
The delay allowed for a second digit to be dialed when connected to the Auto-
Attendant. If a second digit is not dialed before this timer expires then the call is
presented to a ring group.
Call Park This is the time that elapses before a call placed on “Call Park” rings back to the
extension that parked the call.
Courtesy Delay This is the length of time that an incoming call rings before it is answered by the
courtesy message.
Door Phone Ring
Duration
This is the length of time that extensions will ring when a call is received from the
doorphone.
Forward On No Answer This is the time that elapses before a call ringing at an extension, with “Forward On
No Answer” set, is forwarded
Hunt Timer Set the time a call rings an extension in a hunt group before it is diverted to the next
extension in the group.
Open The Door This is the time that the Doorstrike relay will remain open following activation.
Programmable VM
Message Length
This is the maximum length of a message left in a mailbox or a greeting for a
Mailbox, Auto-Attendant or Courtesy Service.
Recall On Hold This is the time that elapses before a call, which has been placed on hold, rings back
the extension that put the call on hold.
Recall On Transfer This is the time that elapses before a call, which has been transferred and not
answered, rings back the extension that attempted the transfer.
Ringback Time Duration This is the time an extension will ring when Ringback has been invoked.
System VM Box Delay This is the time that elapses before an unanswered incoming call is presented with
the system voice mailbox greeting.
Notification Delay This is the time interval between receiving a message in a mailbox and making the
first remote notification call.
Notification Interval When a remote notification call is not successfully completed this is the interval the
system waits before making the next remote notification call.
To Program a Door Phone
1. From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
2. Press the Scroll Down key () until “System Programming” is displayed.
3. Select “System Programming”.
4. Enter the System Programming Password and select “System”.
5. Select “Door Phone”.
6. Select “Door Phone Equipped”.
