2.4 Mounting the Detector
For roughness measurement attach the detector for roughness measurement (S-3000).
1. Make sure that the power supply to the controller is OFF.
2. Insert the detector along the two guide pins provided on both sides of the detector
mounting block of the X1-axis detector, then push it in all the way in until the front and
rear blocks are firmly contacted.

CAUTION
•Always insert the detector straight so that the holes of the mounting block are not tilted to
the guide pins.
•Should the detector be inserted improperly and catch on the way, do not forcibly push it
in. Remove the detector, then insert again.
