In
hard
sectored
diskettes,
the
index
hole
is
placed
halfway
between
sector
holes
31 and
O.
Therefore
additional
circuitry
is
required
to
demul-
tiplex
the
INDEX
pulse
from
the
SECTOR
pulses.
Typically,
hard
sectored
diskettes
have
32
sectors.
The
MPI
Model 40
Series
can
also
provide
either
16
or
8
hard
sectors
from a 32
sector
diskette.
To
install
this
option
add and
delete
the
following
jumpers.
