Preconditions
ā Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

Checking plug connection to
ECU
1. Use connector pliers (3) to make certain that
all plug-in connections of ECU are securely
seated.
2. Tighten loose bayonet couplings (2) with con-
nector pliers (3) by turning them clockwise
until they latch into place.
3. Make sure that unassigned sockets are
closed off with cover caps.
4. If bayonet couplings are defective, contact
Service.
