Using Additional Software
This section describes how to install additional software in US40a.
Installing or Uninstalling Software
1.
Log on to US40a as Administrator.
2. Invalidate write filters according to "Write Filter Setting and Releasing Procedures".
3. Install or uninstall software to be used.
4. Validate write filters according to "Write Filter Setting and Releasing Procedures".
5. Set write filter per folder as necessary according to "Setting File Folders for Invalidating
Write Filter Protection".
IMPORTANT: Before software can be added or deleted, write filters
must be invalidated.
NOTE: Installing software updating files periodically including
antivirus software:
In use of US40a with their settings changed or due to the policy of the
operation system, antivirus software may be installed in US40a. Any
antivirus software updates virus pattern files periodically. To use such
software as antivirus software, according to "Write Filter Setting and
Releasing Procedures", invalidate write filter of the files or the folders
where update such as pattern files is periodically required.
