Using US40a
This section describes the system configuration and basic operations of US40a, the connection of
US40a to a virtual PC and the shutdown procedure of US40a.
NOTE: In the system configuration as described here, network devices
like hubs and routers etc. have been omitted.
US40a is a Thin Client terminal to be connected with a virtual PC.
The minimum system configuration of Thin Client system requires only a single US40a and a
virtual PC (see "Basic Configuration").
Adding DHCP server and download servers (FTP and HTTP servers) to the basic configuration can
improve maintainability of Thin Client system (see "Extension 1").
An extended configuration allows you to use SSC (the management tool for VPCC) (see "Extension
3").
In addition, you can use VPN for network environment to connect with virtual PC (see "VPN").
