Problems with IC Card Manager
Fail to switchover between terminals by using winlogon feature of IC Card Manager:
→ With the current version of SecureWare/IC Card Issue Kit, winlogon does not
support switchover between terminals.
* winlogon:
Logon user authentication of RDP connection by using ID/password stored in
IC card.
* Switchover between terminals:
Remove the IC card from the Thin Client terminal and lock the screen, then
insert the same IC card into another terminal and logon to connect to the
original virtual desktop screen.
* Authentication by Windows SmartCard using the certificate is available.
With IC card of Std-9 format, a message "Failed to change/unlock PIN" is displayed:
→ When the IC card is inserted into the IC card reader built-in US40a, you will fail
to unlock PIN code through the IC Card Manager. To unlock PIN code, connect an
external IC card reader to US40a, or use any other device such as personal
computer.
NOTE: This problem occurs only when the firmware of version
2008102201E is used.
Problems with Update Feature
When [Automatically update on booting] is checked, a message "Failed to update" is
displayed:
→ Described below are probable causes. Check your system environment.
– US40a is not connected to network.
– Cannot connect with FTP server.
– list.txt is not found.
– Update file is not found.
Update fails to obtain a file of ".CER" format:
→ Using HTTP protocol to connect with IIS may fail to obtain a file of ".CER"
format. Try again with FTP protocol.
Problems with Printer
Created a printer on US40a connected via RDP, but no printer is created on virtual PC:
→ If model name of the printer of Japanese version is differ from that of English
version, RDP connection from US40a will fail to create a printer on virtual PC.
Use the printer of which names in Japanese and English version are identical.
