5.7 Sending SMS Messages:+CMGS
Description
To send an SMS message from the module to the network
The network will return reference value <mr> to the module after the SMS message
is sent successfully.
Format
Command syntax(Text mode)
AT+CMGS=<da>[,<toda>]<CR>text is entered<Ctrl+Z/ESC>
Command syntax (PDU mode)
AT+CMGS=<length><CR>PDU is given<Ctrl+Z/ESC>
Parameter
<da>:The destination number to which the SMS message is sent in text mode
<text>:SMS message content in text mode
<length>:The byte length of the SMS message content in PDU mode
<mr>:The storage location
<CR>:End character
<Ctrl+Z>: indicates the end of the input message, in the example.
<ESC>: indicates giving up the input message
Return Value
if text mode (+CMGF=1) and sending successful:
+CMGS:<mr>[,<scts>]
if PDU mode (+CMGF=0) and sending successful:
