WARNING! Newport Medical strongly recommends that you use a
clean/disinfectedcircuitandltersontheventilatorbeforebreathing
through the circuit.
Circuit Check
1. Connect the high pressure oxygen and air hoses from the oxygen
and air inlet water traps on the back of the Newport e360 to 50 ±
10psiggassourcesprovidedbygascylinders,walloutlets
or air compressor.
2. Ifanaircompressoristhecompressedairgassource,connect
the high pressure air hose from the air inlet water trap on the
back of the Newport e360 to the outlet of the air compressor.
Otherwise go to #4.
3. TogglethecompressorpowerswitchtotheON position and
verify its function.
4. SwitchthePowerSwitch(onthebackoftheventilator)totheON
position.
5. WhentheGraphicalUserInterface(GUI)powerson,theventilator
willbereadytostartaCircuitChecktest.Followtheon-screen
instructions.Donotuseatestlungtooccludethecircuitfor
theCircuitCheck.Followingthecompletionofthetwo-steptest,
a message will show that the test has passed or failed. If the
circuittestfailed,resolveallcircuittubingconnectionsand]
exhalation valve leaks and repeat test.
6. TouchthePatient Setup button and select the ADULT patient
category.
