HIGH FLOW INSUFFLATION UNIT UHI-4
• When relief mode is set to ON, the relief function will operate
if an additional veress needle or trocar, etc. is inserted (due
to the momentarily high cavity pressure). To disable the relief
function, press the stop switch.
The relief mode can be switched ON (active) and OFF (inactive). The switching
is possible with the following steps.
1. Turn the power switch ON to check the status of the current relief mode.
The relief mode indicator lights when the relief mode is active. The default
setting is OFF.
2. Turn the power switch OFF and then restart this instrument in the user
mode.
To start this instrument in the user mode, turn the power switch ON while
holding the cavity mode selector switch (refer to Section 5.15, “User mode”
on page 100).
3. To change the relief mode, enter the user mode and set the menu number
and set values as follows:
4. Turn the power switch OFF to establish the new setting.
5. Turn the high flow insufflation unit ON and select the cavity mode (provided
that the cavity mode selector step is “No”.
Confirm that the relief mode indicator is lit if the relief mode is ON (enabled)
or not lit if it is OFF (disabled).
