4.9 Inspection of alarm function
1. Set the flow rate mode to LOW and press the start switch.
2. Block the CO
2
insufflation connector with your hand (see Figure 4.3).

3. Confirm that the tube obstruction caution lamp lights and the alarm sounds.
4. Remove your hand from the CO
2
insufflation connector and confirm that the
tube obstruction caution lamp goes out and the alarm stops.
5. Press the insufflation switch.
If the tube obstruction alarm does not sound, or if the
excessive pressure alarm sounds, immediately stop using
the insufflator and contact Olympus.
