6.2 Precautions
• To avoid infection between patients or from the patient to the
operator, reprocessing the Insufflation Tube (MAJ-590) and
Suction Tube (MAJ-591) immediately after each case. Be
sure to reprocessing the inside of the tubes as well as the
external surfaces.
• If the Insufflation Tube and Suction Tube are not cleaned
meticulously, effective sterilization may not be possible.
Clean the tubes before sterilization to remove
microorganisms and organic material that could reduce the
efficacy of sterilization.
• Patient debris and reprocessing chemicals are hazardous.
Wear personal protective equipment to guard against
dangerous chemicals and potentially infectious material.
During cleaning and disinfection or sterilization, wear
appropriate personal protective equipment, such as eyewear,
face mask, moisture-resistant clothing, and chemical-
resistant gloves that fit properly and are long enough so that
your skin is not exposed. Always remove contaminated
personal protective equipment before leaving the
reprocessing area.
• Wipe remaining surface disinfectant cleaner according to
instructions of surface disinfectant cleaner manufacturer.
Failure to do may adversely affect the human body or this
instrument.
• Identify the necessities of cleaning, disinfection and
sterilization immediately before each case. If they are
necessary, clean, disinfect and sterilize the equipment as
described in this “Instructions” manual.
• Only use the WD that meets the requirements of the relevant
parts of EN ISO 15883 series.
• Improper storage practices, such as not thoroughly drying
external and internal surfaces (lumens) prior to storage, will
lead to an infection control risk.
